Vertical Panning

To change a sprite's 'state', you need an image with multiple rows, where each row is a 'state' (1, 2, 3, etc.) and each row contains multiple frames, like the following image:

Combining actions to modify a whole scene

Take a look at the source code to see how this is done. It's amazingly easy to do.

Mowing is the most basic and frequently practiced of all lawn care operations. Proper mowing is essential in the maintenance of quality turf.

Cutting Height:

Turf-grasses, like all green plants, must be able to photosynthesize in order to survive and grow. Close mowing reduces the amount of leaf area available for photosynthesis, reducing plant vigor. As cutting height is reduced, lawns become less tolerant of environmental stresses and more prone to invasion by weeds than a lawn maintained at a higher cutting height. In addition, root systems of grasses usually become shorter and less prolific as cutting height is reduced. Although a closely-cut lawn can be successfully maintained, its shorter root system will result in a need for more frequent watering and fertilization to compensate for its reduced ability to obtain water and nutrients from the soil. It is therefore desirable to maintain your lawn at the highest cutting height acceptable for its intended use and aesthetic value. A cutting height of 2.5 to 3.5 inches is best for most lawns.
Clipping Removal:

Unless an excessive amount of clippings remain on the lawn following mowing (because of infrequent mowing), there is no need to remove clippings by bagging or raking. In fact, clippings are a valuable source of nutrients. Clippings returned to a lawn will return nitrogen and other nutrients to your lawn over the course of a season, thus reducing the need for additional fertilization. The addition of organic matter in the form of clippings may help to improve the status of your soil over time as well. Contrary to popular belief, returning clippings to the lawn does not normally contribute to increased thatch formation. Clippings are primarily composed of easily degradable compounds which break down rapidly and do not accumulate. If the lawn is mown when wet, clippings may clump together and make removal necessary. Mowing when the lawn is dry will help to prevent clumping; however, the lawn should not be allowed to grow excessively high merely because the grass is wet. Mowing a wet lawn will not damage it.
Mowing Patterns:

The direction of mowing should be varied with each mowing in order to promote upright shoot growth. The formation of a horizontal growth orientation (grain) can be minimized if the lawn is mown at right angles on alternate mowings.
Lawn Wizards, Inc. experienced staff will insure each time your lawn is mowed it is done properly and professionally to keep it looking beautiful throughout the spring, summer and fall.

Pruning and Shrubs

Pruning promotes plant health

By removing dead or dying branches injured by disease, severe insect infestation, animals, storms, or other adverse mechanical damage your trees, plants and shrubs will maintain optimal health.
Topping of trees should be avoided. Removing large branches leaves stubs that can lead to several health problems for your tree. It also destroys the plant’s natural shape and promotes suckering and development of weak branch structure.
Pruning promotes plant appearance

Appearance in the landscape is essential to a plant’s usefulness. For most landscapes, a plant’s natural form is best. Avoid shearing shrubs into tight geometrical forms that can adversely affect flowering. Alter a plant’s natural form only if it needs to be confined or trained for a specific purpose. When plants are pruned well, it is difficult to see that they have been pruned! Proper pruning will encourage flower and fruit development as well as promote a dense hedge.
Lawn Wizards, Inc can provide professional service for all your pruning needs on jobs big and small.

PH Soil Testing
Random soil cores are removed and sent for analysis to determine the Ph and nutrient levels of your soil. Highly acidic soils limit nutrient uptake. Lawn Wizards Inc can provide beneficial ph testing for creating a more customized lawn care program.
Liming improves plant nutrient availability in acid soils. Soil microbes do not thrive in highly acid soils. Soil microbes aid in the decomposition of thatch and grass clippings. A thatch layer restricts movement of air, water and nutrients into the soil.
Core Aeration (Fall or Spring)
Aeration helps alleviate soil compaction which restricts the flow of air, water, and nutrients to the root zone and deters the build-up of thatch, an excessive thatch layer creates a favorable environment for disease. Overseeding can be done after core aeration to help build turf density.
